Answers to Frequently Asked Questions About our Modular Ramps.
Q: Do I require any building permits to install Insta Ramp and Deck’s modular ramps?
A: The design of our premium handicap ramps do not require any building permits to install, and is suitable for both residential and light commercial use. The QRamp™ modular ramp does not require any concrete footings, or permanent modification to the existing structure, thus it can be easily installed and removed without any structural damage. If ever you decide to sell your home, the QRamp™ modular ramp system can be easily disassembled and reassembled at your new residence, or sold.
Q: What should my modular ramps slope be?
A: ADA ramp guidelines & most municipal codes recommended that handicap ramps slope not exceed a 1:12 ratio. This means that for every inch of rise, 12 inches of ramp is required. For instance, if you have steps leading up to your home’s entrance that are 12″ from the ground to door frame, you would require a ramp that is 12′ (144″) in length. For more information, visit the ADA website.
Q: What colours are your modular ramps?
A: The Qramp™ modular ramp system has been designed as neutral as possible based on the results of a large database of single detached homes (over 500,000). The result is a clean, yet elegant tone that will compliment a vast majority of homes and businesses.
Q: Are your modular ramps ADA compliant?
A: Yes, our handicap ramps are ADA complaint.
Q: What makes your ramps better than other modular ramps?
A: The Qramp™ modular ramp systems have been designed with a focus on the end-user. The modular ramps are not only more aesthetically pleasing than competitors’ ramps, but they have also been manufactured with added safety features. The QRamp™ modular ramp is manufactured with a 360° non-slip ThruFlow™ surface that ensures users’ safety whether the ramp is wet, dry, hot or cold. Additionally, our modular ramps feature a 4.5″ curb and photo-luminescent light strips around the perimeter, ensuring wheelchair ramp users always have a safe entrance onto or off the ramp. Most manufacturers on the market just ensure that their wheelchair ramps are compliant with ADA guidelines, however, QRamp™ has worked hard to ensure that their modular ramps not only comply to these guidelines, but exceed the safety expectations of the end user. Not to mention, the QRamp™ modular ramp is manufactured with elegance and style in mind.
Q: What are the modular ramps made of?
A: QRamp™ modular ramp decking is manufactured with an all weather traction technology called ThruFlow™. This premium decking offers a 360° non-slip surface that keeps water, ice, snow and debris off your ramp’s surface. ThruFlow™ decking, along with the marine grade powder coated aluminum frame of the ramp, guarantees a maintenance free wheelchair ramp that will not rot or rust.
